The concept of starting the River Rose Foundation was conceived in March 2015 when the Founder saw in vision a scenario where she was reaching an extremely suffering community that included needy children. After a short while she adopted the vision and the first step was to visit the surrounding community of Kimalat in Kitengela, Kajiado County in Kenya while identifying the extreme needy. She has since continued with the mission tirelessly.
Having retired from the Public Service after working with the Postal Corporation of Kenya for many years, Founder/ Director Rose Chemutai Korir began a different life path of serving the community wholeheartedly beside their agri-business ventures.
As a trailblazer in her calling she proceeded to Pan-African Christian University (PAC) for a training in Leadership studies and Theological training backup. This effort has up to-date seen many people being changed, assisted, liberated and as a professional counselor she has rehabilitated several victims of domestic violence, Female Genital Mutilation(FGM) and child abuse as well as supporting community child education program –all at personal volition. She has also initiated gender empowerment projects that are able to empower the needy.
River Rose Foundation is a humanitarian haven of hope inspired on the tagline, “Blossoming Dreams”
River Rose Foundation is a registered community-based organization under the government of Kenya. Her cardinal calling is to voluntarily empower the vulnerable groups in society with a biased focus on women and children.
RRF headquarters are located at Kimalat town along Nairobi Namanga highway, in Kitengela Sub-County of Kajiado County in Kenya, approximately thirty kilometers southeast of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi.
Our founder who is also the Executive Director, Rose Chemutai Korir, bears a profound intuition and wide appreciation for sustainable development and charity towards the less fortunate and this is the character that has majorly inspired the vision and mission objectives of our esteemed foundation.
Under her leadership the River Rose Foundation has transformed the lives of many families through financing education for orphaned children, conducting feeding programs to the Kimalat community and other children rehabilitation homes in Eastern and Rift Valley regions of Kenya so far, supplying alms to the needy, particularly the children rehabilitation homes, gender-based advocacy towards the girl child safety as well as empowering mothers socially so that they can provide basic needs for their families under the concept of “Blossoming Dreams”.
As a non-political entity, RRF exists to make sure that any assistance offered to the beneficiaries is directly channeled with all fairness and care & utmost accountability.

My name is Eustine Jepchirchir . I am 25 years old. I have benefitted a lot from the River Rose Foundation since its inception. It has specifically supplied my basic needs and sincerely stood with me in the month of August 2020 when I lost my mom. Members visited me, comforted me and also offered me counseling that helped me to cope up with that bereavement.
Personally I appreciate the foundation so much because it has guided me to realizing my academic potential. This is because in 2021 I shall join Rachuonyo Medical Training College. My desire is to continue furthering my studies as I continually appreciate the way the foundation is transforming other people’s trajectory of success. Other areas that I appreciate include mentoring and empowering young women, taking care of the orphans as well as maintaining the community hygiene as a top priority during this Covid-19 pandemic outbreak.
I am a beneficiary of this foundation. As a worker I find a lot of fulfillment in making the compound look good. River Rose foundation has provided food and clothing for the needy in our community and provided. May God bless this foundation to continue doing good jobs as such.
